Job summary

Butler Rose is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a growing, successful business in Exeter. This hybrid role offers 2 days in the office and 3 days remote working, with exposure to a varied workload and senior stakeholders.

You will oversee the preparation and review of financial reporting, statutory accounts and board packs, developing your skills in UK GAAP and IFRS while collaborating with a supportive team and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or finalist.
• At least three years' accounting experience in commercial or professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Advanced Excel skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of entities.
• Review monthly and quarterly management accounts and financial reports.
• Prepare board reporting packs and support senior leadership meetings.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Produce half-year and annual statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Liaise with auditors and key internal and external stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc finance projects.
