Job summary

Safetykleen in Chesterteam is seeking a proactive driver to join our day-shift operation in Dinnington, South Yorkshire. You’ll spend your days visiting a wide range of customers, collecting and exchanging waste streams, and building strong relationships on the road.

Supported by a local branch, you’ll learn through comprehensive training, work towards an ADR licence, and enjoy benefits including private healthcare, pension, 25 days holiday, and wellbeing discounts.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Willing to travel and meet customers.
• Full training provided, no prior waste experience required.
• Customer-focused with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete 9–11 customer site visits per day to collect and exchange waste streams.
• Safely load and unload drums and containers on vehicles.
• Build positive relationships with customers across various industries.
• Work with Branch Manager to meet operational needs and resolve queries.
• Use handheld tablets and CRM to manage routes and workload.

The Opportunity

Join our Chesterteam in a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll spend your time out on the road, visiting a wide range of customers and building strong relationships along the way.

Supported by a dedicated local branch team, you'll safely collect and exchange non-hazardous, low-hazardous and hazardous waste streams, while delivering a professional and friendly service. Your work will help our customers stay compliant while contributing to a safer, cleaner environment.

No previous waste industry experience? No problem. We provide full training and will support you in working towards your ADR licence as you develop in the role.

• Salary £24,400 plus bonus OTE £35k
• Monday - Friday day shifts.

Job Role

What We're Looking For

• A full, clean UK driving licence.
• A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting customers and building trusted relationships.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Waste industry experience is not essential - full training will be provided.
