Job summary

Cotswold Outdoor Group is seeking a Field Visual Merchandiser to join our store-based Visual Merchandising team. You’ll travel across South East stores, maintaining premium visual standards and delivering clear, consistent communication to reflect our brand values and premium retail environment.

You’ll inspire and coach store teams, contribute to seasonal layout planning, support new store openings, and help grow our community of adventurers.

Qualifications

• Premium visual merchandising experience including window displays and layout planning.
• Background in large store or field visual merchandising with data-informed decisions.
• Strong leadership and excellent communication to inspire teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out visual merchandising activities in stores following pre-planned agendas and store priorities.
• Identify commercial and visual opportunities during store visits and provide feedback to store management.
• Contribute to regional visual merchandising strategy and seasonal layout planning.
• Coach and upskill store teams through workshops and hands-on training.
• Maintain strong relationships with store management and ensure feedback cycles.
• Plan and execute new store openings and enhancements with support from the VM team.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out visual merchandising activities in stores, following pre-planned agendas and aligning with store prioritisation strategies
• Identifying commercial and visual opportunities during store visits and providing quality feedback to store management
• Contributing to the development of the regional visual merchandising strategy by identifying store focus areas and supporting seasonal layout planning
• Coaching and upskilling store teams through workshops and hands on training
• Maintaining strong working relationships with store management, ensuring effective feedback cycles and collaboration
• Playing a key role in planning and executing new store openings and enhancement projects with support from the wider Visual Merchandising team

You’ll fit right in if you

• Have experience in premium visual merchandising, including window displays, mannequin styling, and layout planning, gained either as a Visual Merchandiser, Assistant Store Manager, or Supervisor
• Bring a background in large store or field visual merchandising roles and confidently uses data to make informed commercial decisions
• Are a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire, motivate, and influence teams
• Are creative and detail oriented, consistently delivering premium visual merchandising standards with precision
• Are adaptable, organized and flexible, with the ability to travel and work across our South East stores
