Smith+Neb is seeking a Field Technician to maintain and repair medical devices across customer sites in the UK. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and service on equipment to meet quality and safety standards, while delivering excellent customer support.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical repair, maintenance or field service.
• Experience with precision instruments and microscope work.
• Ability to repair and service equipment to internal/external standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management.
• Customer-focused with strong communication and relationship-building.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to train across product portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Smith+Neb equipment per procedures and standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance for service contracts.
• Complete training and certification across product franchises.
• Service equipment under microscope and sharpen surgical instruments.
• Support Service Engineering in PM program.
• Manage personal inventory, perform cycle counts.
• Assist Operations Leads with inventory activities.
• Build relationships with customers, hospital staff, and sales teams.
• Ensure activities are completed efficiently, on time, cost-effectively.
• Meet and exceed KPIs.
