Job summary

Medtronic field-based role delivering technical service, maintenance, and repair for a diverse portfolio of medical technologies across Manchester and surrounding regions. You will travel regularly to maximize equipment uptime and expand service agreements while ensuring excellent customer experience.

The role partners with hospitals and healthcare providers to deliver high-quality service, support contract growth, and maintain long-term customer relationships in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, HNC, or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in field service, technical support, or equipment maintenance in medical device, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic or electro-mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 50-75% within the assigned territory.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems or service documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for medical equipment within the assigned territory.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance visits to ensure equipment performance and compliance with service requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with Clinical Engineering, EBME, and other key customer stakeholders.
• Aim for service performance objectives, including customer satisfaction and operational service metrics.
• Identify and support opportunities for service contract sales, renewals, and service revenue growth.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, maintenance records, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve customer service delivery.
• Ensure adherence to operational procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
