Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking an experienced Technical Service & Training Manager to lead field engineering capability across the UK. You will diagnose complex faults, coach engineers and subcontractors, and deliver structured technical training while driving safety and quality standards.

The role requires extensive travel across the UK, occasional visits to Ireland and European travel to Sweden for product training.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical experience within the doors industry, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex faults.
• Background in field service, engineering or similar technical environment with diagnostic skills.
• Experience sharing knowledge through coaching, training or hands-on support.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements, technical standards and compliance in field engineering.
• Strong communication and relationship-building, and ability to challenge others and maintain standards when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support to engineers and subcontractors on-site and remotely.
• Diagnose and resolve complex faults, and identify recurring issues for improvement.
• Deliver structured technical training and coaching across product range and launches.
• Support onboarding and training interventions with Service Operations and Installation Project Managers.
• Conduct on-site competency assessments and audits to uphold safety and quality standards.
