Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking a Technical Service & Training Manager to lead field engineering capability across the UK. This hands-on role combines diagnosing complex faults with coaching engineers and subcontractors, and working with service teams to raise performance and standards.

The role requires extensive UK travel (also Ireland and some Europe), training delivery, and collaboration with product teams to drive first‑fix quality and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on technical experience within the doors industry with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex faults in the field.
• Background in field service or engineering with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience sharing technical knowledge through coaching or training.
• Solid understanding of health and safety requirements, technical standards and compliance in a field engineering environment.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and ability to challenge others while upholding standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support to engineers, managers and subcontractors on-site and remotely.
• Identify recurring issues and drive improvements to first-time fix and product performance.
• Deliver structured technical training, hands-on demonstrations, refresher sessions, and coaching across product range.
• Support onboarding and coaching interventions with Service Operations and Installation Project Managers.
• Conduct on-site competency assessments, technical evaluations and audits to uphold safety and quality standards.
