Job summary

RES-Distribution Ltd in the East of England is seeking a Field Based Technical Sales Engineer to drive heat pump projects from survey to installation. You will conduct site surveys, specify systems with installers and homeowners, produce on-site quotations and handovers, and resolve technical issues on remedial visits.

The role requires Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing & Heating, Heat Pump design and installation, and strong knowledge of MCS standards.

Qualifications

• Field-basedTechnical Sales Engineer role requiring site meetings with installers/homeowners.
• Designs, specs, and quotations for heat pump projects; handovers and remedial support.
• Must understand MCS standards, compliance, and low-temperature hydraulic design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys and agree system specifications.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations and system designs.
• Compile technical proposals and quotations; maintain CRM records.
• Act as Technical Supervisor for regional MCS projects and ensure installations meet standards.
• Provide phone-based and remote technical support to installers.
