Job summary

Cortech Talent Solutions is seeking a Field Systems Engineer (Test, Installation and Commissioning) for field-based work across the UK. You will lead on-site installation, commissioning and ongoing support, working from a home office in Oxfordshire or Thames Valley and travelling to customer sites.

This role focuses on electrical systems, with input into design discussions. You will join as Systems Engineer or Senior Systems Engineer depending on experience, and you'll collaborate with Sheffield

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Willingness to travel across the UK.
Experience with test, measurement and data acquisition systems.
Experience with NI hardware platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

Test, install and commission systems on site, then troubleshoot and fix issues.
Integrate with customer technology and carry out hardware builds and modifications on site.
Act as the local engineer for a site, running investigations and supporting systems already in the field.
Lead delivery for current projects and attend project meetings.
Manage projects through full lifecycle, taking on bigger and more complex tasks.
Select appropriate measurement hardware per customer specification.
Collaborate with business development on technical solutions and RFQ responses.
Write technical documentation to our quality system (specs, test plans, user manuals).
Provide technical presentations and demos, coordinating with Sheffield engineers to resolve issues.
Develop data acquisition and control applications as software skills grow.
