Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer to install, assemble, wire and test electrical distribution equipment. You’ll work mainly at customer sites across the UK and Europe, with some workshop duties, maintenance and warranty investigation.

You’ll read engineering drawings, diagnose faults, travel regularly, and provide professional service while on site. The role requires ECS accreditation, a full UK driving licence, and flexibility to work outside standard hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Relevant technical training or qualifications.
• ECS accreditation.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• A safety-conscious approach and confident customer service skills.
• Flexibility to travel across the UK and Europe and work varied hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Installing and assembling equipment at customer sites and in the workshop
• Wiring, testing and commissioning equipment
• Reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs, maintenance and warranty investigations
• Working safely and professionally while on customer premises
• Providing clear, helpful service to customers and colleagues
• Travelling regularly and working outside standard hours when required
