Job summary

Manufacturing Futures in Sheffield is helping a specialist engineering business recruit an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in automated test equipment and process control. The role covers electrical design, system debugging and commissioning within a collaborative engineering team.

You will design circuits, produce schematics with EPLAN, and work closely with customers to understand requirements and deliver robust test solutions across the full lifecycle of projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience delivering electrical/electronic systems for test applications.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Strong technical communication and review presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical circuits and complete electrical systems for automated test equipment and process control applications.
• Collaborate with customers to understand testing requirements and translate them into designs.
• Develop safe and effective testing solutions for customer products.
• Select appropriate test and measurement equipment for each application.
• Produce electrical schematics and system drawings using EPLAN or similar CAD software.
• Support debugging, qualification, and commissioning across the project lifecycle.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams during project delivery.
