Job summary

Avanti Recruitment Limited is hiring an Installation Engineer north of London to join a field-based team. You will install, commission and maintain specialist electrical, mechanical and control systems across customer sites in the UK.

You’ll undergo specialist training and gradually take ownership of your own projects, with emphasis on fault finding, commissioning and customer handovers in a varied engineering environment.

Qualifications

• BS 7671 18th Edition qualification.
• NVQ Level 2/3 and/or City & Guilds electrical qualifications.
• Practical electrical installation experience.
• Full valid UK driving licence.
• Field-based role with UK travel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and equipment installations.
• Complete wiring and installation work.
• Undertake customer site surveys across the UK.
• Commission and hand over newly installed systems.
• Carry out planned maintenance and fault finding.
• Attend reactive service calls and diagnose faults.
• Work with electrical, mechanical and control systems.
• Take ownership of jobs and manage workload.
• Communicate professionally with customers onsite.
