Field Service Engineer – Robotic Welding Systems

Are you a skilled field service engineer with experience in robotics, electrical systems, and automation? Do you want to work with cutting-edge robotic welding technology and receive ongoing specialist training?
A leading provider of automated welding solutions is looking for a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and maintain robotic welding systems across the UK & Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most advanced robotic automation systems in the industry.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Servicing, repairing, and commissioning robotic welding systems on customer sites
Fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical components
Interpreting electrical schematics to assist with installations and system upgrades
Preventative maintenance and system optimization to ensure maximum performance
Providing on-site technical support and training to customers
Field-based role covering the UK & Ireland, with occasional overnight stays (up to 3 times per week)
What We’re Looking For:
Electrical qualifications – essential (Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and work confidently with electrical systems
Robotic experience (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, or similar) is highly advantageous
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including automation and control systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field
Strong communication skills – ability to provide clear technical support to customers
Full UK driving licence – must be comfortable with travel and overnight stays
