Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Ltd is seeking a Field Service Technician in Reading, Berkshire. The role offers a £43,000 basic salary plus bonus and paid door-to-door travel, with a company van and full training provided.

You will install, service and repair dispense and cooling equipment at customer sites, troubleshoot faults, perform PPM visits and build strong customer relationships while working independently across Reading and surrounding areas.

Are you a hands‑on individual with a mechanical or technical background looking for a rewarding field‑based role?

We are recruiting for a Field Service Technician to join a growing engineering team covering Reading and the surrounding areas.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business that offers comprehensive training, career progression and the chance to work autonomously across a varied customer base.

Whether you have experience in engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, automotive, plant, utilities, military or another technical environment, full product and technical training will be provided.

The Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of dispense and cooling equipment at customer sites.You'll ensure equipment operates efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain dispense and cooling equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise customer downtime.
• Advise customers on equipment operation and best practice.
• Complete service reports and associated documentation.
• Manage van stock, tools and spare parts.
• Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
