Field Service Technician - Laboratory Equipment (North West London)

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in London and surrounding areas. You will have some technical skills in electrical, electronics, mechatronics or comparable experience.

Do you have experience working with laboratory equipment? Or do you have experience servicing and repairing equipment in another industry? Are you looking to take the next step in your career and use your experience in a field service role supporting customers?

We are looking for a Field Service Technician for our Liquid Handling department at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, calibrating single and multichannel pipettes on customer sites in Northwest London and London area including Luton and Stevenage, whilst delivering excellent customer service. On occasions you will be working in our in-house workshop at our Epsom site.

This position is available full time. You will be working in the field and ideally living near Northwest London or London area.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

1. On a daily basis you will be responsible for providing service and customer support during field and in-house visits.
2. You will manage all on-site maintenance, test tasks for pipettes, diagnose errors or technical problems and determine reasonable solutions.
3. You will produce timely and detailed service reports, issue certificate of analysis for equipment in a timely manner.
4. Follow company’s procedures and policies as well as UKAS, ISO, GMP standards on customer sites.
5. You will work closely with the technical team and share information across the organization.
6. Do you enjoy building relationships with customers? You will improve customer satisfaction; help maximize customer retention whilst providing excellent customer service.

What will convince us

1. You have completed a HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Electromechanics or related discipline.
2. You may have experience with laboratory equipment i.e. Pipettes, liquid handling, or other equipment; however, training will be provided.
3. Field service experience working in the pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical industry following GMP or ISO standards or UKAS accredited laboratory in a similar role would be desirable though candidates from other industries will also be considered (manufacturing, electronics, etc.).
4. Ability to troubleshoot, test and service technical equipment.
5. Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
6. Ability to work flexibly and efficiently and to adapt quickly to changing work schedules.
7. Willingness to travel.
8. Strong customer service skills and great communication skills.
9. Full – driving licence.
