Field Service Technician (Electrical) | Remote Working | Full Time | £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Are you the right person for the job?
  • A full clean UK driving license is essential, with the role being mobile.
  • NVQ / Apprenticeship or a higher diploma (HNC / HND) in electrical engineering or a related subject.
  • Proven experience (four years) working as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar role within the electrical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed and work flexible hours.
What will your role look like?
  • Conduct on-site installations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to electrical systems, including motors, generators, control panels, and wiring.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Accept duties assigned by management that align with the role's strategic focus.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand technical requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Document all service activities, including maintenance reports, service logs, and parts used, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to customers on using and maintaining electrical systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in electrical engineering.
  • Participate in a 1 in 4 Callout Rota system.
