Job Description

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at appropriate level. Electrically qualified candidates must hold a current Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card. Persons without the appropriate card will not be considered.
• City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required.
• Time-served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
• Understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes, and ACOPs.
• Knowledge of L8 Legionella ACOP within hospital buildings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in reading drawings and fault-finding techniques.
• Competent in PC use, including relevant software and systems.

Duties include:

• Completing work orders promptly for maintenance, reactive responses, and remedial work.
• Providing engineering maintenance and breakdown support at a hospital site.
• Offering technical, health, safety, and environmental support and acting as a role model for company policies.
• Training and mentoring site-based technicians and assistants.
• Advising hospital managers on engineering matters.
• Promoting a culture of high engineering standards and integrity.
• Contributing to team development and covering other hospital sites as needed.
