Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to oversee overnight installations across Cardiff & South Wales. The role involves leading a small team of technicians on-site, ensuring safe, high-quality installations of our camera hardware, and coordinating with customers.

This fixed-term contract (6 months) requires a valid UK driving licence, willingness to travel, and comfort working night hours. Minimum 30 hours per week, with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Previous field service or installation experience.
• Experience supervising a small team.
• Proficiency with power tools.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work overnight.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Field Service Technicians on site and coordinate task allocation.
• Install camera hardware per company standards and supervise the team.
• Perform pre-installation checks and address issues before start.
• Serve as primary customer contact on site and ensure SLAs are met.
• Sign off installations and handover after quality checks.
• Maintain installation records using company tools.
• Onboard and train new team members.
• Attend client installations during night hours when required.
• Operate power tools safely and enforce safety protocols.
• Communicate progress with supervisors and customers.
