Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter to join as a Field Service Engineer covering Devon and Cornwall. You will travel to customer sites, install and commission machinery, diagnose faults and perform repairs, and conduct both planned and reactive maintenance in food manufacturing environments.

The role focuses on servicing manufacturing equipment, working on site with customers and ensuring safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Field Service Engineer or similar.
• Experience working with machinery in manufacturing, production or food manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience with machinery installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning machinery and equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs.
• Planned and reactive maintenance.
• Servicing and maintaining manufacturing machinery.
• Working within food manufacturing environments.
• Working directly with customers on site.
