Job summary

FoodEng Recruitment is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to cover the South of England. The role offers a base salary of circa £45,000 p.a., with on-target earnings of £60,000–£65,000 p.a., and extensive overtime at £34 per hour. A company vehicle and private healthcare are included.

The role involves installation, commissioning, and service visits to diverse food production sites, with travel across the South East and opportunities for European training courses.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Service Engineer in manufacturing environments.
• Good Electrical and Mechanical skillset.
• Willingness to travel and stay away overnight.
• Knowledge of PLCs would benefit application.

Responsibilities

• Cover the South East with routine service visits, PMs and breakdown resolutions.
• Install and commission machinery at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot faults and modify equipment to maintain production.
• Build rapport with customers and foster long-term relationships.
• Attend training courses in various European countries.
• Collaborate with After Sales and other Field Service Engineers.
• Train customer staff on equipment operation and SOPs.
• Advise customers on proper use to improve yield and throughput.
• Understand food technology to prevent equipment breakdowns.
