Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a global leader in advanced manufacturing technology. This field-based role covers the West of England and Ireland, offering the autonomy to manage your own patch and build strong client relationships.

You will install, commission, and service capital equipment, conduct fault-finding, and train customer personnel, while enjoying a fully expensed car or car allowance, company devices, and a structured support network.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing capital equipment or complex machinery (electronics/SMT/semiconductor preferred).
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong communication skills to represent the company professionally at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test specialist capital equipment at customer sites.
• Perform planned maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs.
• Build trusted relationships with customer contacts.
• Document service activity and maintain installation records and logs.
• Train customer personnel on operation and upkeep of equipment.
• Stay updated with technical developments to support growth.
