Job summary
Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Technical Service Engineer to service safety products across healthcare and critical environments. This home-based role involves UK-wide travel, with a preference for the South of England near Oxford/Bristol.
You will diagnose faults, service and commission equipment, provide remote support, train customers and escalate where needed. A full UK driving license and hands-on technical ability are essential.
Qualifications
- Hands-on engineering experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, installation, repair or technical product support.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical/electronic systems is valuable.
- Ex-military engineers and service leavers are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, commissioning, inspecting and rectifying mechanical, electrical and electronic products.
- Independently diagnosing faults and using root cause analysis to identify lasting solutions.
- Distinguishing product faults from installation, configuration, maintenance or user-related issues.
- Providing remote technical support and documenting findings to resolution or escalation.
- Delivering practical product training to customers, installers and service partners.
- Identifying recurring problems and sharing insights with Product, Quality and Engineering teams.
