Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection Ltd. are seeking a competent Field Service Engineer with hands-on experience in end-of-line packaging machinery, preferably in the food or beverage sector. The role involves repair, installation and commissioning of equipment, with strong emphasis on fault finding and Siemens PLC upgrades.

The position is home-based with UK-wide coverage, requiring 2–3 nights away and one weekend per month. Full training is provided, and a company car with hybrid options is available.

Qualifications

• Must have proven track record as a Field Service Engineer with hands-on packaging machinery experience in food and/or beverage markets.
• Willingness to travel UK and Ireland, with 2–3 nights away from home and one weekend per month on average.
• Experience with fault finding and upgrading Siemens PLCs or similar.

Responsibilities

• Repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of end-of-line packaging machinery including working with PLCs.
• Fault finding, modifying and upgrading Siemens PLCs or similar control systems.
• Cover the whole of the UK and Ireland with overnight travel as required.
