Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to repair, refurbish, install and commission end-of-line packaging machinery across the UK and Ireland. The role emphasizes fault finding and upgrading Siemens PLCs, with travel 2–3 nights per week and some weekend work.

You will bring hands-on electrical/electronic engineering skills and packaging machinery experience, preferably in the food and beverage sector. On-site and remote support, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Engineer with hands-on packaging machinery experience in food/beverage sectors.
• Experience in fault finding, modifying and upgrading Siemens PLCs or similar.
• Willingness to travel UK & Ireland, with 2–3 nights away per week and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of end-of-line packaging machinery.
• Work with PLCs to diagnose faults and implement upgrades.
• Cover the UK & Ireland and interact with customers to ensure service excellence.
