Wynne Consulting Limited, Thetford-based engineering firm, seeks an experienced Service Engineer to cover East Anglia with occasional travel. You will service, repair and overhaul rotating equipment in a workshop and on-site environment, building strong customer relationships and delivering professional technical advice.

The role combines fieldwork with workshop tasks and offers a competitive £35k-£38k salary.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with electro-mechanical / rotating equipment (pumps, mixers, blowers, turbines, compressors).
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound decisions in breakdowns.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
• Safety-conscious attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Strip, inspect and rebuild pumps, mixers, compressors, gearboxes and other rotating equipment.
• Carry out planned inspections, fault-finding, maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Follow defined work scopes or use judgement when diagnosing issues.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Produce clear service, inspection and technical reports.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide professional technical advice.
