Job summary

Wynne Consulting Limited, Thetford-based engineering firm, seeks an experienced Service Engineer to cover East Anglia with occasional travel. You will service, repair and overhaul rotating equipment in a workshop and on-site environment, building strong customer relationships and delivering professional technical advice.

The role combines fieldwork with workshop tasks and offers a competitive £35k-£38k salary.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with electro-mechanical / rotating equipment (pumps, mixers, blowers, turbines, compressors).
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound decisions in breakdowns.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
• Safety-conscious attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Strip, inspect and rebuild pumps, mixers, compressors, gearboxes and other rotating equipment.

Service Engineer - Thetford (East Anglia) - Pumps/ Rotating equipment - £35-38k Basic Exclusive role

Our client is a well-established engineering business specialising in the service, repair and overhaul of rotating equipment. They are currently seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join their team.

The Role

This is a varied role combining workshop and site-based work. You will primarily support customers across the East Anglian region, with occasional travel further afield when required.

Key responsibilities:

• Strip, inspect and rebuild pumps, mixers, compressors, gearboxes and other rotating equipment (various OEMs and industry sectors)
• Carry out planned inspections, fault-finding, maintenance and emergency repairs
• Follow defined work scopes or use your own judgement when diagnosing and resolving issues
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality and regulatory standards at all times
• Produce clear and accurate service, inspection and technical reports
• Build strong working relationships with customers, understand their requirements and provide professional technical advice

What our client is looking for

• Practical experience and a solid understanding of electro-mechanical / rotating equipment (pumps, mixers, blowers, turbines, compressors, etc.)
