Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service Representative to install, maintain and fault-diagnose 400V–33kV electrical distribution equipment across diverse sectors. The role involves extensive UK and overseas travel, covering LV/HV switchgear, AIS/GIS, transformers and EV charging infrastructure.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, carrying out testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance on live networks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience installing, maintaining, modifying and upgrading electrical power distribution equipment.
• Experience with LV and HV switchgear systems.
• Experience maintaining systems up to 33kV.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team at customer sites.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in utilities, data centres, offshore, defence, nuclear or critical power environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise or perform site activities at UK and overseas locations.
• Install, maintain, refurbish, modify and upgrade electrical distribution equipment (400V–33kV).
• Install, maintain and fault-find LV/HV/AIS/GIS switchgear, transformers, ATS and EV charging infrastructure.
• Carry out equipment off-loading, installation, maintenance inspections and refurbishments.
• Perform electrical testing (IR, ducter resistance, functional, system) and FAT where required.
• Produce service reports and document findings; complete timesheets and site paperwork.
