Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service and repair packaging machinery across the UK. You’ll travel to customer sites, diagnose faults and optimise equipment, while supporting customers and contributing to smooth operation.

The role suits a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with industrial machinery experience, driving licence, and willingness to travel nationwide. Training and progression are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with industrial machinery or automated equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and set up end-of-line packaging machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Travel extensively across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
• Complete service reports and provide technical feedback.
• Attend the Wellingborough facility for repairs, training and meetings.
