Responsibilities

• Install, investigate and repair machine faults of electrical and mechanical nature.
• Plan and prepare parts/equipment and resources for repairs.
• Communicate escalations or delays to CSC/Supervisor/Customer and report as required.
• Assist customers and internal staff with spare parts identification.
• Customer facing – clear communication to customer and take ownership of faults/calls.
• Observe Health and Safety & Working time regulations and adhere to company policies.
• Provide Helpdesk/Telephone/Remote support when required.

Position: Field Service Engineer (Northwest)

My client, a specialist manufacturing business are on the hunt for a Field Service Engineer to join their team in their northern division!

Role and Responsibilities – Field Service Engineer (Northwest)

In this role, you will be assembling complex components and products for the scientific industry in line with tight tolerances and customer demand.

Other responsibilities include:

• Responsible for Installing, investigating and repairing machine faults of both
• Electrical and a Mechanical nature assigned by the CSC (Customer Support Centre)
• Plan and prepare the correct parts/equipment and resource needed for repairs assigned to you in a timely manner.
• Ensure clear communication of escalations/ problems / concerns or delays to the CSC / Supervisor / Customer and follow up with a report if required.
• To assist customers and internal staff with the identification of spare parts.
• Customer facing – clear communication to customer both verbal and written – take ownership of faults / calls assigned to you
• Demonstrate flexibility with start and finish times and cross skilling
• Provide Helpdesk / Telephone / Remote support when required.
• Observe Health and Safety & Working time regulations. To follow and Adhere to the Company handbook and company policy and procedures.

Experience or Qualifications – Field Service Engineer (Northwest)

• A wide range of electrical, mechanical and computer-based engineering skills.
• Experience of working on commercial equipment within a production environment alone and as part of a team is required.
• Consistently displaying a positive attitude towards customer service is a necessity, as is the ability to work within a close team, whilst displaying the necessary individual initiative required to achieve and maintain service targets and KPI’s.
• Good communication, IT and customer liaison skills are essential to this role.

Candidates who currently are a Field Service Engineer, Mobile Maintenance Engineer or Field Service Technician may be suitable for this position.
