Field Service Engineer – North West

Location: North West

Salary: £36,000 - £46,000 per annum + Benefits

An established engineering business is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong mechanical and electrical skills to join a growing service team.

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing a range of industrial equipment at customer sites, ensuring excellent levels of customer service while working independently throughout your designated region.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Install, commission and test industrial equipment.
• Complete service reports and relevant documentation.
• Build strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery.
• Manage your own workload and travel efficiently across the North West.

About You

You'll ideally have experience as a Field Service Engineer or Service Engineer with a strong electromechanical background.

Experience from any of the following industries would be welcomed:

• Industrial weighing equipment
• Materials handling
• Manufacturing machinery
• Industrial automation
• Packaging machinery
• Food processing equipment
• General electromechanical field service

Essential Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Previous field service or maintenance engineering experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience within the industrial weighing sector would be advantageous but is not essential, as candidates with transferable engineering experience are encouraged to apply.

Salary: £26,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience.
