Job summary

Recruitment Helpline is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service mobile welfare units from the Bourne depot. You will diagnose and repair generators, plumbing, electrical and telemetry systems, aiming for first-time fixes at customer sites.

The role requires strong multi-skilling, a full UK driving licence with towing entitlement, and the ability to work independently in field conditions. A competitive salary with company van and PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven multi-skilled field service / plant / mobile-mechanic background (welfare units, generators, plant, HGV, marine, etc.).
• Diesel engine fault-finding and servicing (small industrial engines).
• 12V/24V DC electrical fault-finding and wiring inspection.

Responsibilities

• Attend, diagnose and repair mobile welfare cabins in the field, restoring power, heating and water systems to full working order.
• Aim for first-time fix and work safely unsupervised at customer sites.
• Read fault data/telemetry and utilise remote diagnostics where available.
• Carry out routine servicing and repairs on generators, hydraulics and batteries.
• Provide clear written reports on faults and actions taken.
