Job summary

TRS Consulting is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, install, calibrate and repair sophisticated medical diagnostic systems in pathology departments and NHS labs across the UK. The role involves on-site duties, weekend one-in-four, and after-hours support where required.

You will support flow cytometry and related diagnostics, with emphasis on high‑value electronic capital equipment and strong customer service skills. A minimum ONC/HNC in electronics or related field is expected.

Qualifications

• A strong background in field service or technical support within electronics or electro-mechanical sectors.
• Background in high value electronics capital equipment or diagnostics is desirable.
• Minimum ONC/HNC level or equivalent in electronics or related technical discipline.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills in customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate laboratory diagnostics systems in NHS/pathology environments.
• Support flow cytometry, cell separation and diagnostics products at customer sites.
