Ideal candidates will have a maintenance background in high-precision manufacturing, time-served in a relevant discipline, and willingness to travel nationwide. This days-based position covers Midlands/NW and broader UK regions with paid travel time.

Qualifications

  • Maintenance background in high precision manufacturing environment.
  • Time Served in a suitable discipline.
  • Strong PLC knowledge (Beckhoff/Siemens) preferred.
  • Robotics experience (ABB/Fanuc/Kuka) desirable.
  • Willing to travel UK/Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to client sites across the UK and Ireland.
  • Support automation systems to aid in improving productivity.
  • Support the introduction of new projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Fault finding and rectification of PLCs (Beckhoff/Siemens).
  • Experience working with robotics (ABB/Fanuc/Kuka).
  • PLC software and hardware editing, operating and diagnostics.
  • Strong knowledge of IT - Windows Server.
  • Automation of existing plant & equipment, support equipment improvements and new equipment specification.
  • Provide support in installation of new capital equipment.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer (Robotics /Automation Engineer) for a market leading business within the Automation Industry who provide support across a range of manufacturing clients within the Aerospace and Automotive sectors to help improve productivity. This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an Automation maintenance based role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with CNC Machine tools, Beckhoff / Siemens PLCS and FANUC/Kuka/ ABB Robotics would be highly advantageous.

This is a Days based role Monday - Friday 0830 - 1730 + No Call Out

All travel time is paid door to door + all addtional hours paid at premium rates - Realistic Earnings up to £50k

The role will cover sites mainly in the Midlands / NW but also some across the UK so a willingness to travel is required.

This role would ideally suit a candidate with a maintenance background looking to develop and progress within the controls/ automation industry.

Role Description

  • Good working knowledge of Robotics ( ABB/ Fanuc/ Kuka Advantageous) - Desirable
  • Strong customer service mind set
  • Willing to travel as required to sites in the UK and Ireland.
