Complete Talent Services Ltd is recruiting a PLC Controls Service Engineer to support client sites across the UK and Ireland. The role focuses on electrical maintenance in an FMCG manufacturing environment, with fault finding on Siemens, Rockwell and Mitsubishi PLCs, drives, and motors.

Ideal candidates will be time served in Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3) with 17th/18th Edition advantageous. Travel and an on-call rota are required, with realistic earnings up to £65k.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role within an industrial manufacturing environment is essential.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding skills with PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi).
• Willing to travel across the UK and Ireland; prepared for field service.
• On-call rota participation with standby payments and calls attended.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to client sites across the UK and Ireland.
• Support customer systems to improve productivity and uptime.
• Fault finding and rectification of PLCs (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Rockwell).
• Carry out routine and reactive electrical maintenance including drives and motors (VSD).
• Deliver training to customer staff on operational and maintenance procedures.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a PLC Controls Service Engineer for a market leading business who install and service PLC Controls equipment across a range of FMCG sites in the UK and Ireland,

This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an Electrical maintenance based role within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

Candidates will be time served ( Minimum NVQ Level 3) Qualified in Electrical engineering - 17th / 18th Edition would be advantageous. Experience of working on fast moving production equipment is a must. Candidates must also have experience strong fault finding skills of PLCs - ideally Siemens PLCS (S5/ S7 or TIA), Rockwell or Mitsubishi.

This is primarily a Days based role + Overtime + Travel.

Candidates will also be required to work as part on an on call rota 1 week in 5 (£150p/w standby +£75 per call attended)

All travel time is paid door to door + all additional hours paid at premium rates - Realistic Earnings up to £65k

The role will cover sites across the UK so a willingness to travel is required.

This role would ideally suit a candidate with a demonstrable maintenance background looking to develop and progress into a field service based role.

Role Description
