Demob Job Ltd is recruiting for a client, a leading provider of specialist laboratory instrumentation, supporting customers across the UK. The Field Service Engineer role covers the Home Counties north of London, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Electrical, electronic engineering or scientific background with a recognised qualification to a minimum of an HNC or higher qualification.
• Experience in field service or maintenance environment.
• Previous experience within laboratory instrumentation or similar is highly desirable.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• IT literate.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Flexible approach with willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance, calibration and repair of equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
• Provide technical support both on site and remotely.
• Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain tools, test equipment and vehicle stock levels.
