Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of specialist laboratory instrumentation, supporting customers across the UK. They seek a Field Service Engineer to cover the North West, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

You will service, calibrate and repair equipment at customer sites, provide on-site and remote technical support, and build strong client relationships as part of a growing team with extensive training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Electrical, electronic engineering or scientific background with at least an HNC or higher qualification.
• Experience in field service or maintenance.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation is highly desirable.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• IT literate.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, calibration and repair of equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
• Provide technical support both on site and remotely.
• Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain tools, test equipment and vehicle stock levels.
