Job summary

Planet Pharma in Swindon is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and repair complex laboratory and diagnostic instrumentation at customer sites. You will work independently to ensure equipment operates reliably while delivering high-quality technical support and customer service.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC/HND/City & Guilds).
• Minimum 3 years of field service experience.
• Strong electro-mechanical and electronic fault-finding skills.
• Experience installing, servicing and maintaining complex equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission instrumentation at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance on scheduled intervals.
• Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical, electronic and software faults.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and system integration issues.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
• Manage spare parts and field service inventory.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Ensure high equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
