Job summary

Planet Pharma in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service complex laboratory and diagnostic instrumentation across your territory. Working independently, you will ensure equipment uptime and deliver expert technical support and customer service at customer sites.

You will diagnose electro-mechanical faults, troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, and maintain comprehensive service documentation while building strong relationships with customers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service engineering experience.
• Strong electro-mechanical and electronic fault-finding skills.
• Experience installing, servicing and maintaining complex equipment.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and networked environments.
• Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and device connectivity troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Proactive and independent problem solving.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of complex laboratory and diagnostic instrumentation. Working independently, you will ensure equipment operates reliably while delivering a high standard of technical support and customer service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline (HNC, HND or City & Guilds).
• At least 3 years of field service engineering experience.
• Strong electro-mechanical and electronic fault-finding skills.
• Experience installing, servicing and maintaining complex equipment.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and networked environments.
• Experience working with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and device connectivity troubleshooting.
• The ability to diagnose both hardware and software-related issues.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
