Job summary

Planet Pharma in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service complex laboratory and diagnostic instrumentation across your territory. Working independently, you will ensure equipment uptime and deliver expert technical support and customer service at customer sites.

You will diagnose electro-mechanical faults, troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, and maintain comprehensive service documentation while building strong relationships with customers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service engineering experience.
• Strong electro-mechanical and electronic fault-finding skills.
• Experience installing, servicing and maintaining complex equipment.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and networked environments.
• Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and device connectivity troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Proactive and independent problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission instrumentation at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance on planned schedules.
• Diagnose and repair faults (electro-mechanical, electronic, software).
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and system integration.
• Maintain service documentation and reports.
• Manage spare parts and field service inventory.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Ensure high equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
