Job summary

Codan Limited's DTC division is seeking a Field Service Engineer (IP / Networking) to support customers in Whiteley, Hampshire, and across the UK. This hands-on, customer-facing role combines on-site work with office-based setup, troubleshooting, and training.

You will design and configure IP networks (VLANs, multicast/unicast, RTSP), integrate wireless systems, deliver demonstrations, and provide ongoing support. Expect travel up to two weeks per month across the UK and Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience with IP networking and network-based systems.
• Understanding of VLANs, routing, and multicast/unicast.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Customer-facing mindset with willingness to travel regularly (UK/Europe).

Responsibilities

• Providing pre- and post-sales technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Supporting system design and configuration across IP networking, RF, and video technologies.
• Delivering product demonstrations, installations, and customer training.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues remotely and on-site.
• Configuring and supporting IP-based systems (e.g. VLANs, multicast/unicast, RTSP).
• Supporting integration of wireless and communication systems into wider networks.
• Producing technical documentation and contributing to continuous product improvement.
• Working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to deliver tailored solutions.
