Job summary

Wifinity is seeking a proactive field engineer to be the face of the company for clients from South Croydon to the South Coast, supporting sites across the South East region. You will install, configure, troubleshoot and commission large-scale wireless networks, cabling, fibre, and core network gear, with on-site visits and occasional overnight travel.

A remote-first culture and DBS check are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license.
• Previous field engineer / field network engineer experience.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight across the UK.
• Be part of On Call Rota.
• Strong ICT skills; able to maintain accurate systems and reports.
• Experience in client-facing roles with proven customer service ability.
• Flexible team player, able to work independently to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot network and client device issues onsite, both technical and physical.
• Collaborate with service teams to diagnose, resolve, and activate sites.
• Perform network performance analysis and compile reports.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and respond to live faults in the field.
• Carry out wireless surveys and Wi‑Fi optimisation; ensure installation standards.
• Commission remote sites onto the core network; manage circuits and devices.
• Audit installation quality and handover from installation teams.
• Create and execute test procedures for cabling, fibre, and wireless.
• Investigate and repair faults with stakeholders.
