Zusammenfassung

Clarke Energy Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer – South to maximize reliability and performance of gas engines and plant equipment across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Surrey, with UK travel as required.

You will perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and respond to callouts, while mentoring apprentices and upholding safety standards. A Gas Safe registration and driving licence are essential, with opportunities for overtime and travel.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of service engineering experience.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Apprentice-trained engineer.
• Gas Safe registration.
• Full driving license.
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home.
• Desirable: Experience with gas engines.

Aufgaben

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of gas engines and related systems.
• Respond to out‑of‑hours callouts and restore equipment operation.
• Collect, label and dispatch oil samples to the laboratory.
• Select and order parts, return unused items to minimize waste.
• Maintain van stock and report shortages to the Area Manager.
• Provide customer and team support with professional, responsive service.
• Document all site visits and complete service reports on time to quality standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and calibrated as required.
• Support Area Manager with supervision and mentoring of apprentices and new staff.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
