Job summary

Clarke is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Anglia to maximise the availability and performance of gas engines and related systems through expert maintenance, troubleshooting and fault resolution.

This role is based in Kings Lynn and the surrounding area, with possible UK travel. You will respond to callouts, maintain van stock, train apprentices, and uphold health and safety standards on Jenbacher engines. Competitive hourly rate with overtime and a company van are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of service engineering experience.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Apprentice-trained engineer.
• Gas Safe registration.
• Full driving licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of gas engines and related systems.
• Respond to callouts, troubleshoot faults, and restore equipment operation.
• Collect, label, and dispatch oil samples as required.
• Order correct parts and manage stock efficiently.
• Maintain van stock and report shortages to Area Manager.
• Provide professional, responsive customer support and site coordination.
• Document all site visits and complete detailed service reports on time.
• Keep tools and equipment in good condition and calibrated.
• Mentor apprentices and new team members as needed.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
