Job summary

Clarke Energy is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maximise availability of gas engines and related plant across Anglia. You will perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and support customers to minimise downtime.

Requirements include at least 5 years in service engineering, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in electrical or mechanical engineering, and Gas Safe registration. A full driving license and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical; apprentice-trained.
• Gas Safe registration.
• Full driving license; willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance to maximise gas engine reliability and minimise downtime.
• Respond to out-of-hours callouts, troubleshoot faults and restore operation.
• Maintain van stock, order parts, and document site visits with clear service reports.
• Mentor apprentices and support the Area Manager in site operations.
