Job summary

Clarke Energy is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to maintain gas engines and plant equipment across Scotland, with occasional UK travel. You will diagnose faults, perform scheduled servicing, and deliver cost-effective solutions to customers.

Essentially, you will have 5+ years of service experience, Gas Safe registration, and an apprentice-trained background. A full UK driving licence and strong customer communication are required.

Qualifications

• Essential 5+ years’ experience as a service engineer.
• Gas Safe registration required.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Apprentice-trained engineer.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and avoid unnecessary part replacements.
• Respond to callouts and diagnose faults; perform timely repairs to restore operations.
• Maintain van stock and order parts; ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
