Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Ely is seeking a qualified Gas Engineer to join our Gas Operations team. You will service and repair boilers and appliances across properties in Suffolk and surrounding areas, with a company van and the latest tools provided.

The role involves team and lone working, driving a company vehicle, and reporting via our scheduling and fault-reporting systems. A valid UK gas qualifications set is required, and a driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1 and Unvented - G3 Certificates and WRAS or be currently undertaking.
• Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Knowledge of installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systems.
• Ability to use computerised systems (including PDA) for scheduling.
• Recent experience in a similar role.
• Role involves driving; a full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fault fixing, servicing and maintenance duties on range of boilers and appliances
• Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed
