Job summary

Fabric Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Electrical to join our Derby team. You will install, commission and service machinery at customer sites, diagnosing electrical, software and automation faults while travelling across the UK as required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Service Engineer or similar (e.g., Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer).
• Strong electrical fault-finding experience across electrical systems and machinery.
• Experience with machine software and control systems.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing business. This is a varied, customer facing role with a strong focus on electrical engineering.

You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding. You will be able to identify root causes and provide effective solutions.

Description of the role

• Installing, commissioning and configuring new machinery at customer sites.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical, software and automation-related faults.
• Identifying root causes across electrical systems, control panels and machine software.
• Running and testing equipment in production environments.
• Responding to breakdown and technical issues.
• Training customers on equipment operation and routine maintenance.
• Providing telephone and remote support and fault diagnosis.

About you

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer.
• Strong electrical engineering and fault-finding experience.
• Experience of working with machine software and control systems.
• Experience of installing, commissioning and troubleshooting automated or industrial machinery.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.
