Job summary

Interaction Technical is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service and maintain packaging and automation equipment at customer sites across the UK. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance and handle installations and commissioning.

The role offers door-to-door pay, a company van, travel expenses covered and full training with clear progression opportunities within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with industrial, automated packaging machinery.
• Field service experience advantageous.
• Engineering qualification (Level 3 minimum) and full UK driving licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosis of breakdowns and repairs at customer sites.
• Installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Machine optimisation and performance improvements.
• Provide technical support and complete service reports.

£37,000 - £40,000 + Door-to-Door Pay + Overtime (OTE £47,000-£52,000) Company Van | UK-Wide Travel | Permanent

Interaction Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist in industrial packaging machinery and end-of-line automation solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically and electrically skilled engineer to join a growing service team, supporting customers across a wide range of manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and distribution environments.

Overtime Rates

• Monday to Friday after 5pm: Standard hourly rate


• Saturday until 12pm: 1.5x rate


• Saturday after 12pm & Sunday: 2x rate

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will install, service, maintain, and repair a range of packaging and automation equipment at customer sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical and electrical fault-finding


• Planned preventative maintenance


• Breakdown diagnosis and repair


• Installation and commissioning of new machinery


• Machine optimisation and performance improvements


• Providing technical support to customers


• Completing service reports and documentation

Machinery Includes

• Pallet wrapping machines


• Robotic wrapping systems


• Turntable and rotary arm wrappers


• Conveyor systems


• Strapping and banding equipment


• Other end-of-line packaging machinery

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills


• Experience working with industrial, automated, manufacturing, packaging, or processing machinery


• Previous field service experience advantageous


• Engineering qualification (Level 3 minimum)


• Full UK Driving Licence


• Willingness to travel throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays
