Job summary

Field Service Engineer role covering the UK and Ireland with occasional overseas travel.

You will install, commission, service and maintain advanced automated packaging equipment, diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-site training to customers. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills and PLC programming experience, with a willingness to travel and stay away from home. robotics experience is advantageous.

UK-Wide Travel | Up to £50,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Company Vehicle

Are you a hands-on Field Service Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working with cutting-edge automation technology?

We’re recruiting for a market-leading engineering business that designs and supports high-spec automated packaging machinery used by some of the UK’s best-known manufacturers.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining advanced automated packaging equipment across customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional overseas travel.

You’ll diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, support machine upgrades, and provide on-site technical training to customers.

We’re looking for an engineer with:

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Previous experience servicing automated machinery in the field.
• A customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Flexibility to travel and stay away from home when required.
