Job summary

SER Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our packaging machinery division in the UK. You will diagnose, repair, install and commission a range of advanced systems and travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently on-site while delivering excellent customer service. A proactive team player with a customer-focused mindset will thrive here.

The Role

• Service, repair, install and commission a range of packaging machinery
• Travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland
• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support
• Work with automation, controls, electrical and pneumatic systems
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements

• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
• Experience within packaging machinery, automation, food processing or a similar capital equipment environment
• Confident fault finding and diagnosing technical issues
• Experience with PLCs, automation and control systems would be advantageous
• Able to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Proactive, professional and able to work independently on-site
• A genuine team player who values customer satisfaction
